Built in the 1200’s, still at its best today

12 SLEEPS | 6 BEDROOMS | 6 BATHROOMS | 200 MQ | ON THE OUTSIDE GARDEN & POOL

The Villa was originally built in the 1200’s, but has been restored many times since. The tower above one of the master bedrooms is still in its original state.
The Villa spans two floors – the ground floor where the living area is and the lower floor where the old wine cellars, olive oil tasting room and museum are housed.  The large entrance is defined by a stone portal from the Renaissance period that opens into a large reception room.

The ceilings are impressively high with wooden beams. A number of sofas and armchairs, paintings and a family tree make this space of the Villa very sumptuous and welcoming.

A smaller living room connected through a door from the reception room has three sofas, a writing desk, a TV, a chest of drawers, and a stone fireplace. Doors from this room lead out into the enclosed garden, private swimming pool, and area for alfresco dining. From the living room you enter a door to the large dining room where more than 20 people can dine. The room features a large fireplace and trompe l’oeil paintings on the walls. It also has a door leading to the garden.

The Kitchen is modern and fully furnished with crockery, cutlery, glasses, oven, microwave oven, two fridges, dishwasher, toaster, coffee blender, ice machine, and other items that you may need during your stay. The kitchen table affords a spectacular view over the valley during a casual meal. The kitchen is ideal for cooking classes, featuring a marble table ideal for making homemade pasta or bread while looking out to spectacular views of the hills and olive groves! The Villa concentrates on avoiding single use plastics: complimentary water is delivered daily in glass bottles. The corridor leads into the bedroom areas: the bedrooms do not have air conditioning, but all of them have windows connected to either the garden or patio, making the higher summer temperatures tolerable. Every bedroom has fans.

External Area

As in all medieval villas, there is a small interior courtyard.
The old restored cellars that were used for wine making now house a museum of old findings from around the area, a wine and olive oil tasting room where light lunches and dinners may be served, and an original exhibition of olive wood trinkets and bowls made by Mikele, the owner’s son.

garden & pool

The garden is enclosed by ancient and majestic walls and features large lemon trees in Tuscan terra-cotta pots, beautiful rose gardens, and large shady trees to sit under while reading a book, meditating, doing yoga or taking an afternoon nap. The alfresco dining area is open on all four sides and can accommodate over 20 people seated for lunch or dinner. Sofas and additional chairs are also located in the garden, offering a comfortable area to relax.

The area has a fully equipped barbecue area, ideal for family and friends to gather around to eat delicious food! And what better way to do so than hosting a barbecue party outdoors? A nice way to spend quality time with friends and relatives in the name of conviviality and good food!

Tiles scattered around the garden form a path through nature. Following it, you will reach the most beautiful pool of the property. Hidden within the walls to give maximum privacy to guests, the dimensions of the pool are 12mt x 6mt, with a depth of 1,33mt. The garden is equipped with sun loungers and parasols. Pool towels are provided by the Villa.
